论坛主题：We study interactive environments that are equipped with sensors, computing, and user interfaces. Such spaces offer for users a rich sets of services and easy interaction with these services. For easy interaction we are developing physical user interfaces that let the users interact with the environment without distracting their activities. In addition to user interfaces, we are studying sensor networks monitoring the state of the environment. Here our focus is on a platform collecting and processing the sensor network data, and processing algorithms. We are moving our computation to the Cloud - recently we have developed several prototypes on Microsoft Azure. This talk presents our recent work in physical user interfaces, sensor networks, and computation in the Cloud. I also suggest a general architecture for interactive spaces.

报告人简介：Jukka Riekki is professor at the University of Oulu, in the Computer Science and Engineering Laboratory (Department from autumn 2011), University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland. He leads research on smart, interactive spaces. His main research interests are in context-aware systems serving people in their everyday environment. Currently he studies in several projects physical user interfaces, context recognition, sensor networks, and service composition. In these projects he cooperates with research groups from China, Japan, and Sweden. He is a member of IEEE.
